Toronto (Canada), Apr 13 (EFE).- The Canadian singer Celine Dion published this Thursday “Love Again”, the main song of the film of the same title in which she makes her debut as an actress and which will be released on May 5 .

The ballad is one of five new Dion songs featured on the soundtrack to “Love Again,” a romantic comedy starring Priyanka Chopra Jonas (“Quantico”) and Sam Heughan (“Outlander”).

In the film, which tells the story of a woman coping with the unexpected death of her fiancé by sending text messages to the deceased’s phone number, Dion plays a character inspired by herself.

The five songs on “Love Again” are the first by the Canadian artist since she announced in December 2022 that she was suffering from a neurological disease that forced her to cancel her 2023 world tour.

Dion, 55, has identified his ailment as “stiff person syndrome,” a disease that affects the central nervous system and is characterized by stiffness and muscle spasms. The disease especially affects women.

In a statement, Dion said she has really enjoyed her role in the film.

“And to have the privilege of appearing with the beautiful and talented Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Sam Heughan in my first film is a gift I will always cherish,” added the singer.
