ANAF has put up for sale a 5,000 square meter plot of land in Bucharest, belonging to former minister Elena Udrea, reports Profit.ro. The land is located in the Străulesti lake area, similar to several smaller plots of land that ANAF tried to sell on several occasions, the first attempt being in October 2022.

The 5,000 square meter lot now for sale is valued at almost 2 million euros (9 million lei, including VAT), an amount that would be sufficient to cover the damage that should be recovered from the former politician, according to calculations by ANAF consulted by Profit.ro.
It is not clear how the collected sums would be distributed in a possible sale, among the creditors being, in addition to ANAF, the Youth Tourism Office.
ANAF frequently sells movable and immovable goods, both for the recovery of debts to the state resulting from non-payment of fees and taxes, as well as for the recovery of damages in criminal cases. The procedure of the Tax Office is that the starting price of goods that are not sold at the first auction is reduced by 25% at the second, and at the third attempt by another 25% of the initial price.
