Firefighters rescued two people from a car that was caught by the flood on the national road in the town of Horia, Tulcea county. In July, rescuers intervened in the same area, where many more cars were stuck in the water.

The representatives of the Inspectorate for Emergency Situations Tulcea announced that, on Saturday, around 10:30 a.m., a crew from the Tulcea Fire Department and SVSU Horia intervened on the national road DN22D, in the Horia area, to evacuate two people in – a car surprised by the flood, reports news.ro.

“At the time of the event, the water depth in the affected area was approximately one meter. By the time the intervention forces arrived, the water level had dropped to 30 centimeters, and the two people, a 60-year-old man and the 20-year-old car driver, had managed to evacuate themselves. They were recovered and transported to a safe area”, the representatives of ISU Tulcea said.

The cited source mentioned that currently, the situation has returned to normal in the affected area.

In July, there was a strong flood on the same national road from Tulcea, and cars were washed away.

Then, nine people were taken out of the cars stuck on an island formed by the floods and on the side of the road.
