Veer, a company belonging to the Brunswick Corporation, famous for its luxury boats, announced the arrival of a 100% electric recreational boat model aimed at recreation, the Veer X13. In addition to being environmentally friendly, the boat eliminates once and for all some myths about electric motors in the water, being completely safe.
During CES 2023, the company gave some details about the boat, which can also receive a gasoline engine if the customer so desires. However, the electric option, with the Mercury Avator 7.5e engine, seems to be the coolest and most efficient option for this vessel.
Even without revealing the power and maximum speed of the electric engine, Veer claims that the X13 is silent and extremely fast. It has the capacity to house up to two people, with a maximum operational weight of 250 kg. The battery, according to the manufacturer, is 1kWh, but the autonomy was not revealed.
On the engine, there is a display where the driver can check the speed and autonomy of the battery. This information can also be checked through an application developed by Mercury, which is also a company belonging to the Brunswick group.
The Veer X13 can be purchased with some interesting accessories, such as brackets to house fishing items, more comfortable seats and trailer fittings, as it is common in the United States and Canada for this type of vessel to be towed by the users themselves in their passenger cars. .
The price of the Veer X13 starts at US$ 11,500 (R$ 60,000 at the current exchange rate) and its sale is restricted to consumers in the United States and Canada only.

Brunswick’s stand was one of the most interesting during CES 2023. In the company’s space, a version of the Sea Ray Sundancer 370, one of the most iconic models of the group, was on display. Despite not being an electrified boat, it has two 430hp Mercury engines which, according to the brand, are the least polluting on the market.
In addition, there is a lot of luxury and technology on board, with all the pilot’s commands being able to be performed through high-resolution touch screens. In fact, these displays also contain all the information regarding the boat, such as autonomy, speed and safety alerts.
The Sea Ray Sundancer 370 can accommodate up to five adults with comfort and pampering like a 4K TV, connected devices, kitchen and even bathroom accessories. The price: US$ 1.2 million (R$ 6.2 million).
