And in revenge, the president of the FRMF, Fouzi Lekjaâ, could sabotage the visit of the president of FIFA, Gianni Infantino, to Algeria to attend the opening ceremony on January 13 at the new Nelson Mandela stadium in Baraki.
What if Infantino preferred the “Mundialito” draw to the CHAN opening ceremony?
As everyone knows, Gianni Infantino has been officially invited to attend. But he saw his schedule turned upside down. Indeed, the draw for the 2022 Club World Cup coincides on the same day of the CHAN opening ceremony, i.e. January 13. It will take place at the Mohamed VI Academy in Rabat, as announced by FIFA a few days ago.
And as it is an important competition, the President of FIFA must attend for the draw of the “Mundialito”. This obligation comes to thwart the protocol plans of CHAN-2022, it must be said.
