Given the complicated injury of Emiliano Amor, in Colo Colo they decided to go for a new central defender, which for now will stop the arrival of another key position for Gustavo Quinteros.
The problems surrounding Emiliano Amor’s injury further complicated Colo Colo’s planning. It is almost a given that the 27-year-old defender will have to undergo surgery and will be out of the fields for approximately five months.
In this sense, the albos plan not to register him for the first round and thus be able to go out and look for a foreign defender who can take his place. This was confirmed by Gustavo Quinteros himself at a press conference: “there is no Chilean central marker that can now come at the level of Emiliano. Either they are playing abroad or they cannot come, so we will try to replace him with a foreign player.”

Given the situation of Amor and the little time left to close the campus, Gustavo Quinteros hinted that they will focus their efforts on finding another central defender. In this sense, he warned that he will bet on the homegrown players for the right lane, since there are no national alternatives for the position on the market after the unexpected drop in the signing of Matías Catalán.
