Kaeden Holland, known as “Baby K,” and two other teens were charged with 16 counts after they allegedly attempted to shoot a student on a bus in Prince George’s County.

Holland, 15, and the other two defendants, 14, will be tried as adults and could face life in prison, according to county attorney Aisha Braveboy.

“I really want to reiterate that we are not playing, it is not a game. Our job is to make sure that the community is safe,” said the official.

A fourth suspect, 14, has yet to be charged but faces charges against her and a life sentence. Police reported that she served as a lookout for the other teens by texting them the location of the bus.

The facts date back to May 1 when the teenagers would have gotten on the school bus with the “intention” to kill the victim who is also 14 years old, according to prosecutors. Authorities detailed that Holland pulled the trigger three times, but the weapon did not work.

As a result, the suspects allegedly beat the boy and then fled. The host told NBC Washington that the incident terrified her.

“I thought if that gun hadn’t jammed, maybe I wouldn’t be here today,” he said.

It took police nearly a month to find and arrest Holland, who is also a suspect in a DC murder.
The four suspects are being held without bail.
