The Police Commissioner, Antonio López, confirmed this Tuesday that charges will be filed against friends of Alexis Alicea Torres, accused of drugging, impregnating and locking up his daughter when she was 13 years old.
“The necessary evidence is being collected. Several friends of his staff were interviewed, several of them were ruled out, but there are others who are looking for evidence to be able to prosecute them,” López said in Día a Día.
It was reported that Alicea Torres has a criminal record for domestic violence and controlled substances.
“Believe me, he’s going to be in jail for a long time, because he’s going to be convicted. We have the necessary evidence to prosecute him, he knows it, that’s why he was fleeing, ”added Colonel López.
The defendant was captured on Monday, in a wooded area in the Lajas Arriba neighborhood area, on the sixth day of intense search.
Against Alicea there is an arrest warrant issued for charges of incest, threat or intimidation of witnesses and mistreatment for a pattern of sexual assaults against her biological daughter that resulted in the pregnancy and delivery of the minor, at the age of 13.
Upon her arrival at the headquarters in Hato Rey, Alicea Torres denied the facts with which she was accused.
“I am innocent of everything they are accusing me of,” he alleged. “I need another DNA test and I ask the government for it,” she added.
