A OpenAI announced which will update ChatGPT with new privacy controls, with users being able to disable chat histories.

This feature will allow users to ensure that their conversations cannot be used to train the Artificial Intelligence (AI) that underpins this tool. OpenAI mentions however that the conversations will be stored for 30 days to prevent abuse, promising that they will later be permanently deleted.

It should be remembered that OpenAI has been widely criticized for the way it handles user data, with the company advising that sensitive personal data is not shared with ChatGPT.
