With barely two months left until launch, 20th Century Studios is now lifting the lid on its latest Stephen King film adaptation of The Boogeyman and offering a delightfully creepy little trailer. Apparently, it was intended that the film would only be released on streaming at first, but after a bunch of incredibly successful test screenings, there has been a different sound in the bark and now 20th Century is aiming for a large-scale cinema premiere for the horror film.

The script has been written by Scott Beck and Bryan Woods who previously worked on A Quite Place with input from both Malignant veteran Akela Cooper and Mark Heyman from Black Swan. In short, it bodes well and in Boogeyman we will follow in the footsteps of a 16-year-old and her younger sister who are trying to process the trauma after their mother’s death. You can have a look at the trailer here!

What do you think, does this film seem promising?

The Scarecrow is back in top form!
