Children from the Cuba team participating in the Little League World Series go to McDonald's for the first time

The former Major League Baseball player of Cuban origin Eduardo Perez invited the Cuban children to a McDonald’s.

In the video you can see Eduardo guiding the group of Cuban baseball players inside the famous and popular fast food chain.

This is an experience that the little Cuban athletes had never experienced before and the joy was visible on their faces.

After verifying that they had never been to McDonalds, absent from Cuban territory, Eduardo explained to the members of the Bayamo team the process to place the order.

The athletes learned quickly and were seen in the video eating the hamburgers, fries, helping themselves to soda from the machines and consuming the food with joy.

Cuba is participating for the first time in this Little League World Series that has been played since 1947.

In March, Bayamo defeated Habana del Este 6-2 to become the first team from the island to qualify for the tournament.

Little League expanded from 16 to 20 teams in 2022, which meant adding Puerto Rico, Panama and Cuba in a rotation in which each zone receives an automatic ticket to a team in the tournament two out of three years.

As a junior, they compete to make it to the Little League World Series in their largest region.
