"Chucky" Lozano could have his days numbered at Napoli and the United States would be his new destination

It seems that the future of “Chucky” Lozano is in the United States. Despite being included in the squad for Napoli’s preseason games, Italian media reported that Mexican Hirving Lozano could leave Italian Napoli to embark on a new adventure in US soccer.

According to information shared by DAZN Italy, The Mexican striker could land at LAFC in Major League Soccer (MLS), where his compatriot and teammate Carlos Vela plays.

According to the European medium, The Californian team would have a verbal agreement with Lozano, but the agreement between the clubs would be missing, since “Chucky” has a one-year contract to comply with the Italian champion.

DAZN Italy maintains that Napoli asks for around 20 million euros ($21.95 million) for the Mexican signing, just under half of the $49.90 million the southern Italian club paid PSV Eindhoven in 2019 for the striker’s services.

As reported a week ago by La Gazzetta dello Sport, The leadership of the Italian team offered the Aztec two options: either renew by accepting a salary reduction or be sold in the current transfer market.

In the event that he does not renew and there are no offers from another club, Lozano runs the risk of not being considered.

Lozano has been present in 155 games with Napoli between Calcio, Coppa Italia, Champions League and Europa League, winning a league and an Italian Cup. He has 30 goals and 14 assists in his time in Serie A.
