The city government made a presentation before the Supreme Court of Justice where it claims that “the necessary means be arbitrated” for compliance with the ruling.

This position is maintained despite the fact that President Alberto Fernández confirmed that Ciudad will be paid.

However, the Buenos Aires Attorney General went to the highest court to denounce the breach of the ruling.

“The Executive Branch continues to fail to comply with the ruling of the Supreme Court of Justice by not complying with what was ordered by the highest court in its response to the precautionary measure presented by the City Government,” warns the text presented in Courts.

In this way, the government in charge of Horacio Rodríguez Larreta was dissatisfied with the president’s announcement, regarding the payment being made through bonds.

“A brief was presented today in the Court reporting the breach of the ruling and asking that the necessary means be arbitrated so that it is complied with,” they specified.

“The Attorney General was instructed to initiate a criminal lawsuit against the officials responsible for not complying with the ruling,” they added. And they noted that the resolution of the Court consists of “that 2.95% of the co-participating funds be delivered to the Government of Buenos Aires” and they mentioned that “the sentence does not affect the funds received by the provinces.”

Finally, they pointed to the national government on how it acted after the ruling was made known, since they stated that “as established by the republican norms in a country with a division of powers, the rulings are complied with, they are not interpreted.”
