At least three armed criminals yesterday assaulted a textile factory in the Parque Chas neighborhood of Buenos Aires, and the Police, who surrounded the area, were looking for the members of the gang after the employees left the place by their own means, reported judicial sources and of the strength.

Meanwhile, the factory owner said that the thieves stole “cell phones, computers, notebooks” and “physical checks.”

The event yesterday morning at 1200 Andonaegui Street, where personnel from the 15C Neighborhood Police Station carried out a perimeter in search of the assailants.

Police and judicial sources reported that the group of armed criminals entered the Zittana Textil company around 9:30 a.m. for theft, while some 20 employees were working.

One of the thieves entered the public service sector saying that he wanted a purchase and his accomplices entered behind.

However, a call to 911 alerted to the assault and troops from the 15C Neighborhood Police Station quickly arrived at a time when most of the workers were leaving the factory by their own means.

“Shocked workers”

Diego, owner of the textile factory, told the press that when the employees were released they were “a little shocked and trying to understand.”

The man recounted that a presumed client interested in buying fabric had entered, and that, when he left, “two more entered there, there were three in total”, although after the assault they noticed “that there was a room outside, sort of acting as a bell”.

“They reduced the boys, locked some of them in the bathroom, and locked the girls in a small room that is where we have the server with the computers, the cameras,” Diego said.

Then he added: “I was not in the company, I was coming and one of the boys who managed to put away his cell phone hid it and they did not see it.”

According to the sources, the police from the Metropolitan Special Operations Division (DOEM), with the support of a helicopter, were trying to locate the gang that apparently fled through the back of the property, so until last night they continued to check the area.
