Toni Knittel and his wife Margit performed as “Bluatschink” on the cultural stage in Schruns last Friday evening. They not only had new songs with them, but also a new program. “The organizers said concert is out and cabaret is totally in. So I thought to myself, well then I’ll just do cabaret,” explains the well-known musician in his humorous way. Even before he switched to the cabaret genre, the busy Tyrolean was a Guaranteed good entertainment between the songs. He has now increased these entertainment sequences and the result is the program “Beauty and the Beast”. Cheerful, funny things are presented in the Lechthal dialect. On the one hand, as a married couple, the two make fun of themselves, on the other hand, all too human traits that are in each of us are examined more closely. Margit and Toni Knittel have been a couple for 30 years and they will celebrate their silver wedding in 2023. And the real fans know that their big hits like “Funka fliaga” or “I han di gera” are autobiographical and tell of this relationship in a spirited and humorous way. But the married couple also demonstrated the versatile musical talent of each one in an impressive way on this evening. In any case, the audience had a great time with the different performances, which really tell stories from real life. From raising children to a children’s song, almost everything was represented that evening in terms of interpersonal relationships. At the end of the cabaret concert, which lasted around two hours, the Tyrolean duo received a lot of applause from the visitors on the Schruns culture stage.
