Oberhausen.
Eros Ramazzotti has an exciting year ahead of him: he is going on a world tour with his current album and will be a grandfather for the first time.

You have to give him one thing: he really doesn’t look like a grandfather. Sure, the wrinkles are getting deeper, the hair has been gray for a few years … But Eros Ramazzotti is miles away from a grandpa as the cliché portrays him. And yet daughter Aurora will probably make him Nonno in April – as it is called in Italian. And Grandpa Eros is visibly proud, published a photo on his Instagram channel for her 26th birthday that shows his daughter with a baby bump.

Eros also announced his world tour not at all old-fashioned. The 59-year-old was topless at the start of his “Battito Infinito World Tour”. He is expected to wear a shirt when he visits the region on February 25th. Of course, the mainly female fans still come in droves, after all, the Italian cuddly singer still makes everyone’s hearts melt even after more than 30 years in the business. Italo pop with lots of amore still works.

Eros Ramazotti on world tour

He has remained true to himself, also when it comes to his work. Because Eros Ramazzotti not only sings soulful ballads, he also writes and produces them himself. The current work “Battito Infinito” is almost entirely penned by him – melancholic and gentle with a rocker attitude. In between excursions into funkier pop realms.

And you can also hear his Spanish borrowings. Because the Italian has served a large part of the Iberian Peninsula since the beginning of his career and sings his songs in Spanish. Salsa influences also creep into the Italian versions.

New and classics on stage

The father of three would also like to transport the effort he put into completing his 16th studio album on the live stage, as he revealed on his social media channel when the tour was announced: “In each of these shows there will be a small one give part of me and my story. I can’t wait to meet and hug my fans around the world again because I believe this is the best way to face this complex moment and get back into making music.”

But the cuddly singer doesn’t just breathe new things into the microphone, classics are still part of his repertoire. Unforgotten: “Se bastasse una canzone” or “Più bella cosa”, written in 1996 for the mother of his eldest daughter and today’s ex-wife Michelle Hunziker. By the way, you can’t tell from her that she’s about to be promoted to nonna.
