Youssoufa Moukoko spoke out after the latest reports about his contract poker with Borussia Dortmund. The 18-year-old striker writes to his fans on Instagram: “Please don’t believe everything you read in the newspaper. […] Even though I’m still young, I don’t let myself be pressured into making decisions about my future. I will not accept such a lie about me.”
The ‘Bild’ had previously reported that the latest BVB offer of six million euros a year was not enough for Moukoko’s liking and he was demanding seven million plus bonuses. The reaction of the German international: “It’s really sad that nowadays you can bring something like this out into the world so that you (fans) have the wrong image of me, it’s a real shame because I’m still shocked by the reports.”
Moukoko’s working paper expires at the end of the season. From January 1, he can negotiate with other clubs without the consent of BVB and sign a contract there that will take effect in the summer. Europe’s top clubs have long been in line. According to ‘The Athletic’ agent Patrick Williams is keen to place his client in the Premier League. Chelsea FC and Liverpool FC in particular are said to have taken a liking to Moukoko. He in turn emphasizes: “My full focus is on the second half of the season.”
