On Saturday, May 6, 2023, King Charles III officially crowned King of the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland.

The private broadcaster has a whole theme day on the occasion of the coronation. The documentary series “The Real Crown: Love, Duty and Burden in the House of Windsor” starts at 4:45 a.m. The seven-hour live broadcast “Exclusive Special: Finally King – Charles ascends the throne!” starts at nine o’clock.

It will be moderated by Frauke Ludowig, fashion designer Guido Maria Kretschmer and royal expert Michael Begasse.

There are also top-class guests in the studio in Cologne: the cousin of King Charles III, Eduard Prince of Anhalt, Countess Stephanie von Pfuel and moderator Mareile Höppner. Katharina Delling and Ulrich Oppold are connected from London.

After the ceremony at 4 p.m. the documentary “King Charles III. – Between love and vocation”.
