For the second consecutive week, there was a decrease in cases of COVID-19 in Argentina. In the last few hours 19,416 were confirmed new infections (52.62% less than the previous week)while another 89 deaths due to the disease were reported (14.1% more than the previous period). The new sanitary part of the Ministry of Health was informed this Monday, although the information reported by the provinces was updated last Sunday.

In this way, there are 130,338 officially registered deaths at the national level and 10,024,095 those infected since the start of the pandemic. The health portfolio indicated that there are 404 people hospitalized with coronavirus in intensive care units, while the percentage of occupancy of adult beds in the public and private sectors, for all pathologies, is 40.9%.

During the last week, 21 people died in the province of Buenos Aires, 8 in the city of Buenos Aires, 2 in Catamarca, 1 in Chacho, 1 in Chubut, 4 in Córdoba, 5 in Entre Ríos, 16 in Mendoza, 2 in Neuquén , 3 in Río Negro, 5 in Salta, 2 in San Luis, 13 in Santa Fe, 1 in Santiago del Estero, 1 in Tierra del Fuego and 4 in Tucumán.

According to the Public Vaccination Monitor, the total number of doses applied amounts to 113,565,790, of which 41,104,894 received one dose, 37,967,902 both, 3,167,181 an additional one, 22,299,607 the first reinforcement, 7,541,869 the second, and 1,476,289 the third.
