At least one person was killed early Thursday in a crash on the eastbound 101 Freeway near Studio City.
California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers were called to the eastbound freeway near the Tujunga Avenue exit at 3:02 a.m.
Upon arrival, they found the vehicle the victim was driving or traveling in had collided with a freeway construction truck and caught fire, CHP Officer Ramon Kendricks told City News Service.
The CHP reported that the driver of the vehicle was trapped after the collision.
The victim died at the scene.
The accident closed the freeway while the CHP conducted its investigation.
