Three men were injured in clashes on Dechenstrasse. Emergency doctor and police with several patrol cars on duty.

Fights among residents caused two major police operations in Essen-Altendorf on Monday. Three men, aged 24 and 43, were taken to hospitals, police spokesman Pascal Pettinato reported on Tuesday morning.

A dispute about bulky waste on Dechenstrasse was probably the trigger for two serious arguments in the morning and at noon.

First, a 43-year-old is said to have complained to the two younger men at around 10.45 a.m. that they had not properly placed their garbage on the street. The duo suddenly attacked him and beat him for no reason, the local resident told the police.

After the beaten man had cleared the field, he returned around 1 p.m. with reinforcements. Now it was up to the two 24-year-olds. She was said to have been punched and kicked, Pettinato said.

Several patrol cars and rescue workers moved to Dechenstrasse. The police are investigating.
