Von: Walter M. StraTen

Only one crime scene investigator regularly bears his name in the film title: Klaus Borowski (Axel Milberg, 66) from Kiel, who is already in his 20th year of service. Today in “Borowski and the Great Rage” we see the Chief Inspector in his pajamas most of the time.

THE CASE: On the Kiel Förde, a passer-by is bumped into by an aggressive pedestrian in a green hoodie – directly under a truck. Victim dead, perpetrator gone.

Borowski determined with colleague Sahin (Almila Bagriacik, 32) in a nearby vocational school. Then they both separate, Borowski drives alone to a house. Why? Later more …

► Surprise 1: Borowski then lies in front of a clinic with head injuries and covered in blood, is found by the caretaker. Currently in mortal danger.

► Surprise 2: As soon as he woke up, his cell phone rang. A girl named Finja claims to have been kidnapped by her older sister Celina. Borowski, who is still half drunk, doesn’t notice much at first. It slowly dawns on him: Celina? That was the name of a vocational student.

► Surprise 3: The house in which Borowski was knocked out with a butcher’s hammer belongs to Celina’s grandmother. And she is found murdered.

Did the evil granddaughter kill the grandma and take her little sister hostage? Other suspects: Celina’s depressed mother, her stepfather who is in debt. And the clinic caretaker somehow has something to do with it. Borowski chases the fugitive Celina from his bed and with the phone, almost becoming her confessor.

LOOK AT? Only if you’re a Borowski fan! Psycho crime thriller completely tailored to him with some thriller moments, but also big logic holes. Certainly not as strong as the legendary “Borowski and the Silent Guest”. After all: The chief inspector also enjoys himself with a fellow patient in the hospital chapel.

My grade: still 3
