The Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ramtane Lamamra, paid a working visit to the Republic of Mali. During which he held several bilateral and multilateral meetings related to Algerian-Malian relations and efforts for peace and reconciliation in Mali.

In this context, the Head of State, Colonel Assimi Goïta received Lamamra, the latter informed him of the content of an oral message from his brother, the President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune. It is part of the ongoing effort to strengthen fraternal relations and cooperation between the two brotherly countries. As well as the acceleration of the pace of implementation of the Peace and Reconciliation Agreement emanating from Algeria, and this because of its capital importance in the preservation of the unity, sovereignty and stability of the Republic of Mali and the entire region.

Lamamra also held bilateral talks with his Malian counterpart, Abdoulaye Diop. The same with the Minister in charge of the Peace and Reconciliation Agreement, Colonel Ismail Waghi.

On the other hand, the head of the Algerian diplomacy met at the headquarters of the Algerian embassy in Bamako with representatives of the financial movements signatories of the Algiers agreement.

At the end of his visit, Minister Lamamra chaired a coordination meeting of the international mediation group at the headquarters of the Embassy of Algeria, regarding Mali, whose members include representatives of neighboring countries and permanent members of the UN Security Council. In addition to relevant international and regional organizations, including the United Nations and the African Union. West African Community and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

The meeting was devoted to examining ways to support financial actors in overcoming current challenges and taking action. But also to achieve tangible results within the framework of the implementation of the Peace and Reconciliation Agreement in Mali, emanating from the Algerian way, especially in light of the transition phase that this brotherly country is going through.
