Cuban actress Laura Ramos is part of the cast of the recently released Spanish series The artists: First strokes.

Laura, preceded by the international triumph for her character Gladys in the Spanish series entreviasemited by Netflixembodies in this new dramatized Marta Margarita, a woman wanted by a millionaire to whom the protagonists try to sell a painting.

On her social networks, the Cuban artist celebrated her participation in the project. “I hope you enjoy Marta Margarita as much as I enjoyed making her. A delight of colleagues, Maxi Iglesias and Ximena Romo. They’ll tell me what they think,” the actress wrote along with a photo gallery on the set of the novel.

The 10-episode thriller series, which debuted on July 7 on the streaming platform ViXwas made from the script of the renowned Spanish writer Maria Duenas and plunges the viewer into the dark side of the art world.

The artists: First strokes stars the Mexican actress ximena romoin the role of the young restaurateur Cata, and the Spanish actor Maxi Churches, like the art dealer Yago. Both form a team that seeks to defraud millionaire clients by selling counterfeit works of art.

The Cuban actress is very popular internationally for the role of the charismatic and determined Cuban émigré Gladys, in entreviaswhose two seasons have been in the top 10 on Netflix in dozens of countries.

Laura was also part of the cast of The Farads, another Spanish series that will premiere this year on Amazon Prime. In it he worked together with two compatriots: the screenwriter Alexander Hernandez and the actor Hector Noas.

The Cuban public remembers the artist for films like Amanda’s Prophecies and Operation Fangio. In 2001 she won the Coral Award for Best New Actress at the New Latin American Film Festival in Havana.
