Cuban arrested for robberies at a Walgreens in Hialeah

A Cuban was arrested and sent to prison for multiple robberies at a Walgreens pharmacy in Hialeah.

Lázaro González, 32 years oldwas identified as the author of a series of thefts at a Walgreens located at 770 West and 28th Street committed between April 9 and May 15.

During those 37 days, merchandise valued at a total of $2,987.68 was taken.

He was arrested red-handed this week in the establishment itself, when workers discovered him and notified the Police. The man resisted, so he now faces charges of resisting arrest in addition to retail theft charges.

Police said security cameras captured him hiding the items under his clothes and taking them from the premises.

America TeVe showed the Cuban’s appearance in court, where Judge Mindy Glazer set bail and imposed a restraining order that absolutely prohibits him from approaching the store.

González has a record of six other counts of shoplifting and petty theft and has always been out on bail. That’s why he returned to the same pharmacy again and again.

A Walgreens lawyer appeared in court to request an increase in the amount of the bail, to prevent the thief from continuing to steal from that store.
