Duniesky González, 37 years old and resident of Dallasis accused of participating in a scheme designed to massively steal diesel fuel at service stations.

He and the rest of those involved tampered with fuel pumps by using fraudulent credit card informationwith which they drastically reduced the price of pumped fuel and stole thousands of dollars.

The trial was held in April and he pleaded guilty although he did not admit guilt, saying: “I’m not guilty, but I just want to get this over with.”, he said then. After the hearing, she entered an open guilty plea.

After being found guilty of participating in organized criminal activities, last Tuesday a judge sentenced him to 50 years in prison with the right to appeal.

As reported America TeVeat the hearing, the State prosecutor argued that a “life sentence is not unreasonable”and that there should be a “minimum of 50 years.”

The defense, for its part, pointed out that if someone was injured by the crimes such a long sentence would be justified, but that this was not the case. The prosecutor responded that financial loss can hurt people.

In addition to González, they were accused of belonging to the criminal network Ramón Pérez-Torres, 31, of Mesquite, Nevada, and Camila Cruz Concepción, 26from Dallas.

Both are in prison and their trial will be next July 23.
