Numerous Cubans reacted moved by the attitude of a taxi driver who charges his users only what they can give him.
One of these lucky customers shared his story on his wall of Facebookwhere he praised the altruistic gesture of this driver, who unfortunately is not one of the most abundant in Cuba.
“I got on La Vívora and went to Vedado in this taxi with a P 029198 license plate, driven by a young driver. To everyone who asked how much the ride was, he replied: ‘Whatever you can. If you can’t, it doesn’t matter. , mount the same'”, explained Miguel Almaguer.
Almaguer showed the photo of the vehicle, an almendrón, and asked to share his publication as a tribute to the supportive driver.
“My respects for this Cuban! Thank you very much, friend, for showing your solidarity with your compatriots,” he said.
Several dozen Internet users praised the gesture and congratulated the taxi driver.
“That is called solidarity and love for others,” said a resident of Pinar del Río.
“Few of those remain, my blessings to him,” said a Cuban resident in Spain.
“There are still people who have the value of solidarity, humility and altruism,” said a woman from Santiago.
“Blessings for this young man who is much happier than the abusers with his own people, who fail to comply with an administrative mandate and integrate criminal offenses such as disobedience and illegal economic activities with their conduct, and all for a little money…”, he said a family man.
The taxi driver in the story identified himself as Yosvany Brito Julia, and thanked all the praise received.
