DENVER, Colorado – A Denver Police Department (DPD) officer was critically injured after being struck by a fire truck during the Denver Nuggets’ NBA championship parade.
DPD reported that the officer was struck near the end of the parade route at West 13th Ave and Cherokee St just after 11:30 am The officer was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
The truck that struck the officer was carrying NBA Finals MVP Nikola Jokic, his daughter, teammate Jamal Murray and Nuggets owner Stan Kroenke.
Details about the incident are still unknown and authorities are conducting an investigation.
