Shooting in broad daylight leaves one dead, one injured in Philadelphia

A man was killed and another was injured Tuesday afternoon in Philadelphia after a shooting in broad daylight.

The gore was reported to have taken place in the 5200 block of Walnut Street at 3:09 p.m.

Investigators said that upon arrival they ran into a 20-year-old subject who sustained a bullet to the head, for which he was rushed to Penn Presbyterian Hospital where he later succumbed.

Another 19-year-old individual also sustained shots, three in the right arm and one in the hand, who was taken to the same medical center and admitted in stable condition.

So far the reason for the altercation is unknown, who was responsible and where the weapons came from. The investigation is still active.
