You can also choose to switch to Crucible Origin’s trait, One Quiet Moment, which greatly improves your weapon’s reload speed when you reload while out of combat. Remember that Trials will be available from the daily reset on Friday at 9am PT/12pm ET until the weekly reset at the same time the following Tuesday.

So during that time, you can also visit Xur to see what exotics he’s selling. Be sure to visit Saint-14 in the Tower to pick up a Trials card, which will dictate certain bonuses (such as whether you get bonus rewards at certain milestones or a loss will be forgiven).

Trials of Osiris is a weekend PvP mode that runs from the daily reset on Friday to the weekly reset on Tuesday, giving you four days to engage. Your objective in the trials is for you and the other two players on your team to achieve a “flawless” run, in which you win seven games without losing any.

Go flawless and earn a trip to the lighthouse and you’ll receive some special rewards, including new Adept weapons. These have additional stat bonuses, making them one of the most coveted items you can get your hands on.

Also, keep in mind that you will earn Trials Engrams for participating in the mode, which you can redeem with Saint-14 during the weekend you receive them. You can fine-tune those engrams to produce specific pieces of loot, or take a chance on random drops that will expand what’s available in your loot pool. So even if you’re just jumping into the Trials solo, there are plenty of ways you can earn great new gear.
