As announced by Blizzard, the action role-playing game has reached gold status and is therefore complete.

At least as far as we know it these days. Don’t be surprised if there is a day-one patch.
“Gold status is a milestone for the Diablo 4 team who have worked so hard to develop the next generation of this storied franchise,” said Diablo General Manager Rod Fergusson.
