Do not bother to position the cursor on the wrong word or to erase the badly written letter. There is a much easier trick to capitalize.
You may have already noticed: it’s complicated to correctly place the cursor between two letters when typing on the keyboard. We tap on the screen hoping to get it right. There is something simpler: a little-known trick allows you to place yourself in the right place of a word or a sentence. Convenient for putting a forgotten capital letter on a first name, for example.
A simple click in the right place to capitalize a word
One trick leading to another, there is also a method to very easily add a capital letter to a word, without the hassle of placing your cursor, removing the lowercase letter and retyping it at the right size. The solution ? Simply double-tap the word with your finger to select it entirely and press the key with an arrow pointing up ( ↑ ).
If you make a single tap, only the first letter at the beginning of the word will be capitalized. If you press it a second time, the whole word will change to uppercase. And if you press the ↑ key a third time, you will return to the initial state. For this to work, you must have selected the word in question beforehand.
You can also do even better: if you want to apply the same rule to a whole group of words, such as a sentence or even a paragraph. It’s a little less easy to select (you have to cover the passage you want yourself), but the effect is similar. Be careful however: here, the tool has its limits. Large sentences don’t seem to be handled.
