LineageOS 20, the operating system based on Android 13, is now available for eight new devices released several years ago that have reached the end of their official support. Software developers have announced versions compatible with old cell phones from Google and Nubia — sub-brand of ZTE — and other devices.
These are official builds developed by the team, so the build is much more stable and has minimal bugs. New devices supported by LineageOS 20 are Google Pixel 2, Pixel 2 XL, Nubia Z17, Nubia Z18 Mini, BQ Aquaris X, BQ Aquaris X Pro, Dynalink TV Box and Google ADT-3 Developer Kit.
New devices supported, as noted, include cell phones released nearly six years ago and streaming devices from Dynalink and Google. The Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, for example, had their official support ended in October 2020, and since then, they have become less secure due to the lack of routine brand updates.
With LineageOS 20, old models can have a new “breath of life” by having the new features of the operating system in an interface designed with a focus on performance – something that, in terms of design, may not please its users.

The software does not have Google services, so it is necessary to install applications via flash to access the Play Store, for example. Its installation is complex and requires knowledge about recovery images for Android, so the practice is not recommended for those without experience with the technique.
