This Thursday we saw workers at the Miami International airport, in carts, dragging heavy suitcases through the halls from one terminal to another.

Checked bags that usually go through a baggage handling system had to be carried by hand to the tarmac.

According to an airport spokesperson, the delivery system at Terminals H and J experienced a disruption, causing some flights to be delayed by up to 30 minutes while bags were loaded by airlines.

The TSA company in charge of baggage handling explained in a statement that they are working on interruptions with the checked baggage inspection team, which is currently not operating at full capacity.

But that was not the only problem that travelers experienced this Thursday at the airport.

Images recorded after the checkpoints show a large number of passengers waiting.

This Thursday the Miami International Airport had 516 delays and 44 cancellations, the majority due to severe weather.
