The sports action of the Puerto Rico Delegation during the XXIV Central American and Caribbean Games San Salvador 2023 continues this Saturday.
The men’s and women’s 3×3 basketball teams started Friday with victories in the group stage of the tournament. The men’s team defeated the Salvadoran team, so they will play against Suriname, at the Plaza Merliot shopping center.
Meanwhile, the women completed their phase with two victories. One of them went to extra time. The Puerto Ricans beat the Colombians 18-16 and returned to the pitch to beat the Costa Ricans 21-3.
On the other hand, the men’s volleyball team went to the semifinal, and will face the Dominican Republic, this Saturday at the Palacio de los Deportes Carlos el Famoso.
Puerto Rico will also have the last regattas to define their positions in the sail.
