The illegal reservation of parking spaces advances in the City. Drawers, easels, disused paint containers, and even kindergarten chairs are used to improperly save places.

To reserve a place, you must request permission from the Planning Department of the Municipality of La Plata or request it by ordinance in the case of public organizations and intermediate entities, among others.
On Calle 12, from 64 to 44, the placement of elements to save parking spaces by a merchant or individual is practically normalized. Despite the fact that the street is covered by municipal inspectors, the cases multiply while drivers look for a place to park.
This practice is sustained in January, a time when the number of vehicles circulating in the area drops, although there is a trend of intense vehicle flow between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. Monday through Friday. Something unusual occurs during class time in a 54-year-old kindergarten between 19 and 20, where they use the chairs in the living rooms to save parking spaces.

Illegally reserved spaces can be observed more frequently in areas dominated by “rags” for certain “clients”, according to various motorists who take long minutes to find a space.
According to the latest surveys that were released, it is estimated that there are about 300 irregularly occupied spaces.
The Commune informs that controls are carried out on a regular basis, but until the closing of this edition there was no updated official data from Social Watch on the violation that involves improperly keeping parking spaces.
PARKING IN THE LOOK

14,128 reports were drawn up for parking vehicles incorrectly: 8,448 in prohibited places, 489 in eighths, 1,075 in double parking, 421 in pedestrian paths, 1,038 in bus stops, 468 in loading and unloading spaces, 341 in places reserved for people with disabilities, 319 in taxi ranks, 719 in garages, 545 in sidewalks and 265 in boulevards.
