The crews of the Municipal Works Directorate are advancing in the remodeling of the sports center in the municipality of Tepecoyo, La Libertad, another example of the interest of President Nayib Bukele in creating works for the benefit of Salvadorans.

The executive director of the DOM, Álvaro O’Byrne, verified the progress of the first stage consisting of dirt work and construction of wall structures, considered “the strongest part of the project”, istarted on November 24, at the request of the mayor Janet González.

“We are doing what is the dirt work where the field of the municipal stadium goes. We are also working on all the wall structures, all the exterior works and excavations”, explained the official.

Subsequently, other works will be carried out, such as masonry and block gluing. “to go raising what are all the perimeter walls of the project”

This work is important “For all the inhabitants of Tepecoyo, because it comes to give a total change of the municipal stadium that will also benefit the students of the public schools of the municipality,” added.

This 630-square-meter sports arena will include, among other things, a synthetic court, new and covered bleachers, a business area, an area with viewpoints for families, and a children’s play area, and it will be “a place where all families can come and enjoy.”

The remodeling of the Tepecoyo sports center is one of the 54 works started by the DOM crews in 2022 nationwide.

Since last year, 161 works of the National Bacheo Plan have also been carried out, as well as 52 works of the complementary road improvement program that marks the presence of the DOM in 144 municipalities, thus fulfilling the mandate of President Bukele to change the history of the country abandoned by the disastrous past administrations.
