A user of Reddit said to have indeed been able to get hold of captures of an alpha phase of the RPG, thus taking the opportunity to share his feelings and images. He explains that the fights take place in real time, similar to a hack and slash with the combat system of the reboot of God of War.
The action would be frenetic thanks to the possibility of performing combos, but also special abilities. The ability wheel would be similar to what the license has experienced before. However, the tester did not have the opportunity to control other characters, suggesting that it will only be possible to give them orders, unless it is related to the alpha version of the title.
The Reddit user notes that the quality of the animations has improved greatly compared to the studio’s previous productions. Everything would be very fluid and responsive, and Dragon Age Inquisition players can rest assured, it would still be possible to jump!
In this sequence, the protagonist played with a sword and a shield, allowing him to parry the attack. One of the special abilities allowed the player to perform a drop kick, while the other was a charged sword attack.
On the user interface side, everything would be very similar to what we could already find in Dragon Age Inquisition. We can see on one of the images that it is possible to equip a breastplate, a helmet, a weapon and a shield. There are also slots for accessories.
