Many of us were shocked with the closing of the Granola arc in the last volumes of the manga of Dragon Ball Super. Since in the last pages of the publication we witnessed how Black Freeza (or Black Frieza, for purists), came to defeat with relative ease Goku and Vegeta.
For months the question about what happened to both heroes filled internet forums and entire conversations among fans of this saga. Those who naively believed that they would see their doubts resolved with the premiere of the Super Hero film.
Those who saw the film will have verified that the plot actually served as a continuation of what was seen in the manga, but it did not answer a ton of doubts that the illustrated edition had left in the air.
Now, a few days ago, with the publication of the long-awaited continuation volume by the people of Jump, we finally managed to discover what happened between the tape and the closing of the granola arc.
We have answers about the logic behind the title of this new arc, which is named after the movie. We also learn more about Trunks and Goten’s current adventures as Earth’s greatest guardians and finally find out what happened to our two main leads.
This happens with Goku and Vegeta in Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero after being defeated by Black Freeza

With the publication of number 88 of Dragon Ball Super, his new arc called Super Hero began formally. There we see Trunks and Goten as the maximum protective guardians of our planet while the others prepare for the real threat that Black Freeza constitutes.
At the end of Granola’s story, we saw how Goku and Vegeta were brutally overcome by Black Freeza after this subject used the Room of the Soul and Time:
The villain evolved to display his most powerful form known to date. And now in the most recent chapter of the Dragon Ball Super manga we discover that Goku and Vegeta are now completely focused on defeating him.
For the same reason, he has gone to train on Bills’ planet, dedicated full time to increasing his power, to aspire to confront the new force of Black Frieza as quickly as possible.
While we see how Trunks and Goten have become the new protectors of Earth under their superhero identities.
