Activist Quanell X, who was present during the questioning by authorities at a hotel north of Houston, held a brief press conference where he offered lurid details about the questioning by authorities of the mother who was thought to have disappeared. when she was 17 while walking her two dogs.
Quanell X indicated that the boy had been away for two days, but returned home. It was then that his mother ordered him to hide as he would be arrested, this would have been the beginning of 8 years of Rudy’s captivity.

According to the activist, Rudy also revealed that his mother had been giving him hallucinogens for years. He was tired of his mother crossing her boundaries, watching him in the shower, and forcing him to bathe her. “It’s a real shame … I’ve never heard of a mother doing this to a child,” Quanell said.
The activist stated that, during the questioning with the authorities, Rudy remained completely silent, and it was not until his mother left the room that the young man told everything to Quanell X, who was with a detective from the Police Department of Houston (HPD).
Quanell X says he was shocked to learn that a search warrant had not been executed at the house. Rudy made it clear that he was always in that house. Quanell X believes that HPD has seriously failed as multiple calls about Rudy have been made to authorities and have not been followed up.
