A truck driver was arrested this Friday morning, August 4, shortly after he allegedly left the scene of a traffic accident on foot at the intersection of Tamarack Avenue and 10th Street in McAllen.
So far the person arrested has not been identified and it is unknown if any charges have already been filed against him.
While the woman who was driving the motorcycle was taken to a hospital to be evaluated by doctors and receive treatment, McAllen Police said.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation by the authorities.
According to data from the Texas Department of Transportation, in 2022 some 244,092 people were injured in vehicle accidents.
