Going back to school for many parents can cause great concern, since it is a significant expense so that they can have everything they need for the school year.
For this reason, the non-profit organization Cradles to Crayons Philadelphia (C2C) partnered with the Eagles and joined 600 volunteers to prepare the 65,000 backpacks with school supplies. They will be delivered to low-income students in Philadelphia, to ensure that they have what they need to go back to school.
The “Ready for Learning” initiative is a massive distribution in the region and the schools of the School District of Philadelphia are the starting point.
The event will take place on August 9 at the Lincoln Financial Field Club Lounge in the south of the city from 8:00 am to 11:00 pm There, 30,000 of the backpacks will be available for distribution.
Items include:
- Backpacks
- folders
- Notebooks
- Pencils
- Crayons
They will also provide clothing and personal hygiene essentials.
