An 86-year-old man was run over at about 12:37 this Sunday, on PR-3344 in the Jaguitas de Hormigueros neighborhood.
According to the police report, the driver of a 2013 white Toyota Tacoma vehicle, identified as Julio Cruz Muñiz, was driving his vehicle in reverse while leaving his residence. Cruz presumably did not notice the presence of Gilberto Carreras Santiago and hit him with the back of the bus.
Carreras died on the spot.
Agent Santos Martell of the Highway Patrol Division appeared at the scene, together with agent Edwin García of the Technical Services Division, who took charge of the investigation.
