Less than three months from its release, Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Thieves is revealed in a new trailer. This umpteenth film adaptation will seek to make us forget the previous films that were not very successful on the famous role-playing game.
Last summer, we were able to discover the first promotional images of Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Thieves. These had worried the fans, unconvinced by the costumes, the attitudes and the multiple slowdowns. In the process, Paramount Pictures had unveiled the first trailer for this new adaptation of the role-playing game. The trailer of Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Thieves allowed us to understand that the film would oscillate between intense action scenes and humour.
A combo that we find in the new trailer that has just been unveiled. Chris Pine struggles in a world full of monsters, wizards, druids and of course dragons. A fauna that will inevitably bring back memories to lovers of the famous role-playing game. In the film, the adventurers are assigned to pull off a heist and get their hands on a relic. But obviously, not everything is going to go as planned, the group attracting “the wrath of bad people”.
New trailer for Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Thieves
Directed by Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley, the film will feature Chris Pine as Edgin. He will give the reply to Michelle Rodriguez (Holga), Regé-Jean Page (Xenk) or even Hugh Grant. The latter will be responsible for playing the antagonist Forge Fletcher. The reboot will have the difficult task of making people forget the previous adaptations of Dungeons and Dragons which are generally qualified as turnips.
Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Thieves will be released on April 12, 2023 in theaters. Paramount would very much like the film to be a success since a series derived from the universe is already in the boxes of its streaming service, Paramount +. A plebiscite at the box office would thus open a royal road for the series and potentially new films thereafter.
