FORMER EastEnders actor Adam Woodyatt has hit out after his image was used to promote a dangerous diet product.

The actor, 54, denounced the “scam” after learning that photos of him with a slim figure were used without his permission on social media to promote a weight loss brand.

The BBC soap star shared a snap of the advert on her Instagram and revealed her anger over the fraudulent promotion.

He fumed, “A friend saw this ad on Facebook or whatever it was called this year and sent it to me. It’s 100% NOTHING to do with me.

“I am also aware of several accounts pretending to be a personal or private account for me on Instagram, no matter how many times we report or block them, another pops up.

Adam continued: “I’m on Twitter and Facebook but rarely use them, that’s the account I use regularly even though I don’t respond to comments often (probably should interact a bit more than me) and I don’t never check messages.”

He ended with a simple warning: “Please be careful on social media.”

Adam isn’t the only star to speak out against such scams, as Lorraine Kelly recently expressed her disgust at similar publicity.

The TV favorite, who showed off her incredible one and a half stone weight loss last year, was horrified when she spotted a health brand using her name and face to promote its products.

Lorraine, 63, was quick to report the internet scam after she made shocking claims about her weight loss.

The fake FIGUR brand suggested Lorraine achieved her weight loss through “fat burning pills” and gave “samples” to a host of her famous friends – including Emma Willis and Carol Voderman.

Furious at the dangerous comments, Lorraine said she would seek legal advice on the matter and urged her followers not to believe the false claims.

She fired back and slammed the claims, writing: “This is crap and I reported – please don’t believe this absolute b*****.

“I am furious and will take legal advice.
