Leobaldo Arrieta is devastated. Edwin’s father, the Colombian surgeon murdered by Daniel Sancho in Thailand, has decided to break his silence in the Telecinco program ‘Así es la vida’ to ask for justice for her son and to be able to recover her body as soon as possible. It should be remembered that the defendant dismembered the doctor into fourteen parts for “three hours”, as stated in his statement. “I am guilty, but I was his hostage,” said the Spaniard.
After the heartbreaking words of Darlin Arrieta, the victim’s sister, in the programs ‘Código 10’ and ‘En boca de todos’, on Cuatro, where she revealed new information about the case and her last conversation with Sancho; Leobaldo Arrieta speaks in the space hosted by Sandra Barneda.
“They have taken my life. He was the one who supported me ”, the victim’s father begins by saying. “Edwin was very noble. Everybody wanted it. That they bring him here to me, even if he is a little piece of my son, ”he continues, expressing himself totally broken with pain. The Colombian says that he began to suspect that something had happened when the surgeon stopped responding to messages: “He always communicates by WhatsApp. It was seen that they reached him and he did not answer me ”.
Plans to live in Spain
In ‘Así es la vida’, a co-worker of Edwin Arrieta also intervenes. Juan Camilo ensures that the victim had plans to move to Spain and that is why he was managing the validation of his medical titles. “We are shocked. Sorry if my voice cuts off, but there is no other way to describe the moments that we live with anguish”, says the anesthesiologist.
