In the title role we find actor Mikkel Boe Følsgaard. If his name doesn’t necessarily mean much to you, his face is probably familiar to you because the 39-year-old actor already has a rich career behind him. He notably won the Silver Bear for best actor in 2012 for his role in the film Royal Affair. More recently, Netflix subscribers will remember him from the hit series The Rain.

This three-season Danish Netflix series is set in a world where a deadly virus is spread by rain, wiping out much of the world’s population. The story follows the adventures of Simone and her brother Rasmus, who are forced to take refuge in an underground bunker to escape the toxic rain. After six years of isolation, they meet other survivors and embark on a quest to find answers about the origin of the virus and a possible cure. In The RainMikkel Boe Følsgaard played the role of Martin, the leader of a group of survivors found by Simone and Rasmus.

Mikkel Boe Følsgaard gives an excellent performance as Monsieur Cazotte, a charming and attractive artist.
