Eintracht Frankfurt wants to keep defensive veteran Makoto Hasebe for another year. As the 38-year-old revealed at the Hessen training camp in Dubai, they would like to have him in the squad again next season. “The club signaled to me that they wanted to continue with me. Of course that makes me proud”Christopher Michel from ‘Sport1’ quotes the Japanese.
Hasebe said there was nothing to be said against it from his side either. “If I’m feeling good, I’ll keep going”, adds the Bundesliga oldie. According to the ‘kicker’ he also said: “If I don’t feel good anymore, I’ll stop. I will decide in March.” The coming weeks should therefore bring more clarity about his future. Even so, Hasebe will stay with the Eagles, both parties have already agreed on a follow-up contract for a coaching position.
