The administration of Dina Boluarte announced this Thursday that it will make “every effort” to finalize the extradition of Eliane Karpthe former first lady investigated by the Ecoteva case who left the United States for Israel, according to a confirmation from the Office for International Cooperation.

The Minister of Justice and Human Rights, Daniel Maurateindicated that the State will continue working to materialize the return of Karp, so that he appears before the Peruvian courts.

“With an extradition process, we will make every effort, with our teams, to see how we can make the necessary regulation and bring it to Peru,” he remarked.

The Chief of Staff, Alberto Otárola, pointed out, in the same way, that the Government carries out “permanent monitoring” of the situation of the wife of former president Alejandro Toledo (2001-2006), and pointed out that “the Prosecutor’s Office will have to issue a pronouncement about”.
