It is hardly a secret that the former TV 2 weather forecaster and presenter Elin Tvedt (48) has many balls in the air at the same time – but now she will try something new.

Now she has started a new job at SpeakLab, which specializes in communication of all types, physical and digital courses – and program management within various conferences and broadcasts.

Now the 48-year-old opens up about what it’s like to have one foot in everything at the same time.

Hectic

– I will start working 50 per cent, and have a permanent position in SpeakLab. Here we visit most of the communication work, so it’s almost like a playpen, she says with a laugh.

In 2016, she left TV 2, after 20 years in the media house. Among other things, she has appeared in NRK’s ”Frokost-TV”, in addition to having been the presenter for several seasons of “71° nord”.

The reason why she will not work full-time is because the timetable is already filled. Outside of the new position, she already has a job in psychiatry – in addition to the fact that she is well into her nursing studies.

Every third weekend, the working hours are from 07:30 to 21:30.

Despite the fact that it can be hectic, Tvedt just sees it well:

Thought the nurse’s dream was shattered – now Nav is laying flat on his face

– My thought is that having a health background and combining it with communication or media in one form or another is very exciting. That’s why I accepted the offer – so then there will be a bit of work and a bit of study, she says and continues:

– I have a small position within psychiatry and addiction. I started in that job because it is an exciting field. I also do some TV, so I’m a potato….

Dream life

In the new job, she is reunited with former TV 2 profiles, such as former news anchors Siri Lill Mannes (52) and Thomas Henschien (53), together with TV reporter Renate Nedregård (45).

She describes it as a party:

– I think that’s absolutely great, because these are people I know well and have always had a relationship with. It almost feels like a mini TV 2!

In addition to being a student with both a communication and psychiatry job, she will be watching the next season of Farmen kendis, which will be broadcast in the new year. Tvedt does not hide that it will be busy, but that it is just fun:

– At times it can be terribly busy, but it is very exciting. I think I have a dream life, because I do a bit of everything that I enjoy!

Watch season seven of Farmen kendis on 10 January on TV 2 Direkte and TV 2 Play.
